Spring Update: May is busy with Market Events!

April has been a wonderful start to the Market Season! Opening Day on April 1st saw over 100 vendors and thousands of guests come through the Denton County Historical Park for the biggest day of the Market season!

The Spring Fling on April 15th hosted a fun event for friends, families, and pets with the Eggstravaganza Photo Booth and Egg Scavenger Hunt! Our Community Market Art Panels at the Greater Denton Arts Council on April 13th and 27th bring together vendors and community to share ideas, experiences, and showcasing local goods.

May is busy with events as we keep the Market ball rolling!

May 6th: Mayor’s Day of Concern Food Drive at the Market: The Denton Community Market will be hosting a Food Drive on Saturday May 6 at Market for the Mayor’s Day of Concern May 6 – 12!

On Saturday May 6, during Market (9 am – 1 pm) there will be a designated Drop Off Location near the Market Info Booth for the Mayor’s Day of Concern Food Drive.
Continue during the week (May 8 – 12) the Market Drop Off Bin will be located at Juice Lab. On Friday, May 12, Market staff will deliver the donated items to the Community Food Center.

Bring non-perishable packaged food items to contribute to the Food Drive. The Food will be donated to Denton Food Pantries.

May 7th: Sunday Fun-Day Market at Mulberry Street Cantina: The Denton Community Market and Mulberry Street Cantina host a Sunday Fun-day Market!

Sunday, May 7th
2 – 5 pm
at Mulberry Street Cantina

Vendors from the Denton Community Market will be selling their handmade goods and local products at this Sunday evening Market. If you missed your chance at our Saturday Market, or you just want to continue shopping, this is a great opportunity to shop local (and relax with a tasty beverage!).

May 13th: Mother’s Day Market: Find the special women in your life a special gift from local vendors that put care and thought into every item they sell.

May 25th: Community Art Panel at the GDAC – PAAC, 6 – 9 pm: Join Community Market Artists and Makers discuss their craft and experience at these informative panels at the Greater Denton Arts Council Patterson-Appleton Arts Center. DCM Vendors will set up their goods and discuss their processes and bringing goods to Market. More information posted on Facebook.

May 27th: Memorial Day Market: Start your Memorial Day weekend with local shopping, local foods, live music, and fun activities.
